Founder, Handful Transportation
Our founder
Mission-Driven From Day One
Fartun Mohamed founded Handful Transportation with a passion for helping people and a commitment to improving transportation access for individuals with disabilities. A Somali immigrant who is deaf and hard of hearing, Fartun has personally navigated barriers related to disability, language and cultural differences. Her lived experience shapes HTC's approach to accessibility, clear communication and genuine care.
Inspired by the American Dream, Fartun set out to build a company where every person feels welcomed, respected and valued. Through compassionate service and attention to each rider's needs, she is building a transportation company that connects people to essential services, supports greater independence and delivers on its promise: "More Than a Ride, a Handful of Care."
